Mull Adopt-a-Beach does the Great British Beach Clean
September 17, 2016 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
The UK’s biggest beach clean and survey, the Great British Beach Clean (GBBC), is coming to Mull. Organised by the Marine Conservation Society (MCS) each September, the survey collects important data on marine litter, which provides evidence to help drive change.
Anyone can take part in a GBBC event, or even register a beach and organise one of their own. MCS Beachwatch surveys can also be done at other times of the year, so do consider doing a survey for your local beach.
Mull Adopt-a-Beach is taking part in the GBBC at Knock Hatchery, Gruline, at the head of Loch na Keal on Saturday 17th September, 10 a.m. Coffee and cake will be provided. Please follow the track to the Hatchery, and park at the buildings half way down the track, and walk the rest of the way to the Hatchery. Please wear sturdy footwear and protective gloves.
Please keep up to date on the Mull Adopt-a-Beach Facebook page in case the event is called off for bad weather.
Thank you to Benmore estate and Knock Hatchery for their support.
